Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Hello everyone,

April is National Sexual Assault Awareness month. According to The National Crime Victimization Survey, every two minutes someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. Sexual Assault is still a major issue in our world today. Teal is the color that represents sexual assault and I encourage everyone to show their support in ending sexual assault by wearing a teal ribbon for the month of April. These ribbons are used to help generate awareness and show support for victims of sexual violence.

If you or someone you knows has been a victim of sexual assault please contact your local Rape Crisis Center. This is the link for Massachusetts. http://www.janedoe.org/safety.htm

Remember love is not abuse!
